How it works
- Upload your app logo or icon.
- Pick the size Apple asks for, then a template and colors.
- Download at the exact pixel dimensions, in the format Apple accepts for that size.
The sizes, in full
| Slot | Ratio | Pixels | Format |
|---|---|---|---|
| Product page header | 21:9 | 3840 x 1646 | JPEG or PNG |
| Header and search results | 16:9 | 5244 x 2950 | PNG only |
| Search results, maximum | 3:2 | 3840 x 2560 | JPEG or PNG |
| Search results, minimum | 3:2 | 1920 x 1280 | JPEG or PNG |
1920 x 1280 and 3840 x 2560 are the minimum and maximum of one 3:2 range rather than two separate requirements, so anything between them is valid. Larger is the safer default unless your source art cannot stand being enlarged.
None of these images may carry an alpha channel. That is the rule most likely to cost you an upload, because a transparent corner looks identical on screen. Every export here is flattened onto an opaque background.
Not the same as a feature graphic
Google Play wants one 1024 x 500 image and will not publish without it. Apple wants a different set at different ratios, and these are promotional rather than required. If you ship on both stores you need both assets, which is why the feature graphic maker is a separate tool rather than another size in this one.
Questions
What are App Store header and search result images?
They are the promotional artwork Apple shows above your product page and beside your app in search results. Apple calls them Product page header and Search results, and lists them on the Creative assets specifications page in App Store Connect Help. They are separate from your screenshots and separate from Google Play's feature graphic.
What sizes does Apple accept?
The product page header is 3840x1646 at 21:9, or 5244x2950 at 16:9. Search results take 5244x2950 at 16:9, or anything from 1920x1280 up to 3840x2560 at 3:2. The 5244x2950 file covers both slots, so you only need to export it once.
Why is 5244x2950 PNG only?
That is Apple's rule for the 16:9 asset, not ours. The 21:9 and 3:2 sizes accept JPEG or PNG. This tool exports whichever format Apple accepts for the size you pick, so you cannot accidentally upload a file App Store Connect will refuse.
Does transparency matter?
Yes, and it is the failure that is hardest to spot. Apple states these images cannot include alpha channels or transparencies. A transparent corner looks identical on screen and is rejected at upload. Every export here is flattened onto an opaque background for that reason.
Is this the same as a Google Play feature graphic?
No. Google Play's feature graphic is one fixed size, 1024x500, and it is required to publish. Apple's header and search result images are different aspect ratios and a different part of the listing. If you ship on both stores you need both, which is why they are separate tools here.
Is it free?
Yes. Every template, custom colors, background removal, an icon-derived palette and unlimited text layers, and you can download at any of the four sizes with no account and no watermark.
